Joint pain and stiffness can be caused by many factors, arthritis being a major one. If you suffer from arthritis, these 7 natural remedies for joint pain and stiffness will provide you with much relief. Many of us do not like to rely on pharmaceutical drugs to find relief from problematic symptoms, especially since drugs often times are not effective and have many unpleasant side effects. So if you suffer from any type of joint pain, you have come to the right place. Try these 7 remedies to find relief today!
Hot and Cold Therapy
Some simple hot and cold therapy may provide much needed relief for your joint pain. Try taking a nice long, hot shower or bath, preferably in the morning to relieve some of that stiffness and pain. You can also try heating pads placed on the affected areas to find relief. Another excellent way to obtain instant pain relief is by using frozen peas or a gel ice pack, wrapped in cloth, and placed on the painful joint.
Meditation is an excellent and proven way to help relieve stress and reduce pain and stiffness. The National Institutes of Health have performed many studies on those with joint pain, and they found that meditation helped many people with painful joints and stiffness. Researchers also found that those with depression and arthritis benefited the most from meditation. Click here to check out 5 meditation techniques for beginners!
Include the Right Fatty Acids in Your Diet
For optimum health, everyone needs fatty acids in their diets, specifically Omega-3 fatty acids. These acids will also help those with joint pain and stiffness find relief. Omega-3 fatty acids can be found in many fish, and you can also take fish oil supplements to get these beneficial fats. Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) is another excellent fatty acid that will prove beneficial. They can be found in the seeds of plants like hemp, borage, black currants, and evening primrose. You can also obtain these as a supplement. Always be sure to check with your doctor before taking any supplements.
Turmeric is one of the most amazing spices out there. Many call it a miracle cure-all. Because turmeric contains the chemical curcumin, it is extremely beneficial for those that suffer from joint pain and stiffness. Curcumin has amazing anti-inflammatory properties. The National Institute of Health performed studies on rats by giving them turmeric. The studies showed that when rats were given turmeric, the inflammation in the rats’ joints was reduced. Try adding this spice to your dishes to find relief.
Herbal Supplements for Joint Pain
There are many herbal supplements on the market that will help relieve join pain and stiffness. Always consult a doctor if you are taking any medications to be sure herbal supplements will not interfere with your current medications. Some herbal supplements that many have praised for their effectiveness are stinging nettle, ginkgo, devil’s claw, boswellia, bromelain, and thunder god vine. Try one of these supplements daily to find relief from your joint pain.
Essential Oils for Joint Pain
Essential Oils are extracts derived from plants that have many healing benefits. Just the aroma in the air can have tremendous positive effects on your health. There are also some oils that can be used directly on the painful area (usually diluted first), and will provide instant relief. To learn more about healing with essential oils, click here! The six best essential oils for joint pain and stiffness are Lavender Oil, Peppermint Oil, Helichrysum Oil, Idaho Balsam Fir Oil, Spruce Oil and Palo Santo Oil. These can be placed in a diffuser to disperse the fragrances throughout your home. Check out this article on different types of diffusers and why you need one.
Certain Essential Oils can also be placed on the skin for relief (most need to be diluted with a carrier oil first). Check out the list below to learn more about how to use the essential oils mentioned above to heal your joint pain.
- Lavender Oil is the most famous oil for pain relief. This essential oil is mild enough to be rubbed directly on the painful area of your body. If you have really sensitive skin, you may dilute Lavender Oil with a carrier oil first.
- Peppermint Oil is excellent for joint pain, and can also be used for headaches and muscle pain. Peppermint essential oil should definitely be diluted before using directly on the skin. Because it is so strong, some may still have a reaction after dilution, so use carefully and sparingly.
- Helichrysum essential oil is widely used to help with joint pain. It is an anti-inflammatory and has been used for years for its many benefits. This oil has even been used to heal wounds. This essential oil is gentle enough to rub directly on the skin.
- Idaho Balsam Fir Oil is excellent for easing joint pain and can be hard to find. You should dilute this oil with carrier oil before rubbing on your skin.
- Spruce essential oil is a wonderful smelling oil that is perfect for those with arthritis. Dilute with carrier oil or vegetable oil before rubbing onto your skin.
- Palo Santo Essential Oil is another anti-inflammatory perfect for joint pain. It can be rubbed directly on the skin, but you may want to dilute it first if you have sensitive skin.

If you have pets, you know how aggravating fleas can be! They drive your pets crazy, they drive you crazy, and they are so hard to get rid of! Tired of using expensive chemical filled flea remedies that don’t work? I was too. I have two dogs and seven cats, which makes for a LOT of fleas. So what is the best way to get rid of fleas without spending a fortune on harmful chemicals and pills? Let’s first look at why you should NOT use the medicines from stores and vets.
Flea medicine is dangerous
Are you poisoning your pet with toxic flea products? If you are using collars, sprays, spot-on medicines, dust, pills and other chemical filled products, then yes. The active ingredients in spot-on medicines such as Advantage, Frontline, ProMeris and others include chemicals such as imidacloprid, fipronil, permethrin, methoprene, and pyriproxyfen. These are essentially harmful pesticides that you are putting on your pet’s skin. These and other ingredients have caused many health problems in animals, and sometimes death.
Flea collars, sprays and powders are also toxic to you and your pets. They can cause seizures, trembling, vomiting, diarrhea and respiratory problems. Flea pills for your pets are a fairly new product, and they can be just as poisonous as the other chemical filled products. The popular flea products made by Hartz contain a pesticide called Phenothrin, which has been banned as a lawn pesticide due to its toxicity. Do you think it’s safe to use on your pets? No. All of these flea products mentioned cause hundreds of pet deaths a year, and thousands of injuries and illnesses.
So, what is the best way to get rid of fleas?
Naturally, of course. The best way that I’ve found to get rid of fleas without harming your pets is by using essential oils. If you have used essential oils in your home, you know how beneficial they are. Certain essential oils are also excellent natural flea repellents.
Essential Oils For Fleas
Therapeutic grade essential oils are excellent at repelling fleas, because pests and insects hate the smells of certain oils. There are actually a lot of different oils that are effective at repelling fleas, and you may need to try different ones to see what works best for your pets. If your pet spends a lot of time outside, you will need to apply the essential oils more frequently than once a month.
Below I have broken down what’s best for each animal and some recipes you can try. Cats are much more sensitive to essential oils than dogs, and there are many oils that should NOT be used on cats. When you do use the oils I have listed below for cats, be sure to heavily dilute them. Use ONLY therapeutic grade essential oils, and preferably organic too.
Natural Flea Repellent: Dogs
The best essential oil for repelling fleas that I’ve found is Lavender Oil. For some reason, those pests cannot stand the smell of it. Also effective are Eucalyptus Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Lemongrass Oil, Pine Oil, Cedarwood Oil, Peppermint Oil, Lemon Oil, Orange Oil, and Citronella Oil. Native Americans were the first to use Pine as an insect repellent. They would place pine needles in their bedding to repel fleas and lice. Most of the time, these oils need to be diluted before using on your pets or yourself.
Natural Flea Spray for dogs
Take a 14 ounce spray bottle with water and place 15 drops of any of the oils mentioned above into the bottle. You can use just one oil or any combination of those oils you wish. You can also combine one cup of vinegar, one liter of water and 15 drops of oil if you wish. Spray one of these solutions on your dog daily to repel fleas. You can also use these solutions around the house and on your dog’s bedding. Be sure to avoid spraying on your dog’s face.
Natural Essential Oil Flea Collar
There are several ways to make an effective flea collar for your dog. My favorite is the recipe below
- 1/2 tsp alcohol
- 1 drop Cedarwood essential oil
- 1 drop Lavender essential oil
- 1 drop Citronella essential oil
- 1 drop Thyme essential oil
- 4 garlic capsules
Take your dog’s cloth collar and soak it in the mixture. Once it is dry, place on your dog, and the effects should last about a month before you need to soak it again in a new mixture. Another great way to make a flea collar is by just placing a few drops of one of the oils mentioned, or a combination of them, directly onto the collar. If your dog’s skin is sensitive, you may want to dilute the oil with a few teaspoons of water first. You should repeat this method once a week.
Natural Flea Shampoo
First, choose a natural chemical free pet shampoo and add 20 drops of your preferred essential oils. Lavender oil is my favorite, but you can use any of the oils mentioned or a combination of them. While bathing your dog, leave shampoo on for approximately 20 minutes before rinsing. This will kill all the fleas on your dog and help repel fleas for a few days.
How to get rid of fleas on kittens and cats
Most essential oils are toxic to your little kittens and cats, so the list above should be used on dogs only. However, there are a few essential oils that are safe for your cat, and they are excellent natural flea remedies. When brushing or spraying essential oils onto your cat, the solution should be heavily diluted. Use a ratio 50 drops of water or carrier oil to 1 drop of essential oil. Two completely safe essential oils you can use on your cat to help get rid of fleas are Lavender Oil and Cedarwood Oil.
There are other oils that are considered safe for cats but should be used infrequently. Some cats may have a reaction to these oils, but others handle them just fine. Many people use Citronella Oil on their cats without a problem. Tea Tree Oil and Eucalyptus Oil are not considered safe for cats, but I know of several people that use them regularly on their cats and have no issues. I would not recommend doing this, unless you are ready to rush your cat to the vet if he has a reaction. However if you use only therapeutic grade essential oils and dilute them 50:1, your cat should be fine. Two oils I would never use on my cats are Pine Oil and Peppermint Oil.
The above recipe for the natural flea spray for dogs can be used for cats as well. Just use only lavender oil or cedarwood oil, or both. To make a flea collar for your cat, simply dilute 1 drop of lavender oil (or cedarwood oil) with 50 drops of water and place a few drops of the solution on your cat’s collar. Another excellent safe way to use essential oils is to diffuse them in your home. You and your pets will be able to reap the healing benefits all throughout the day!
Natural Flea Shampoo for Cats
Choose a natural chemical free cat shampoo and add 20 drops of lavender oil or cedarwood oil, or 10 drops of each. Another excellent flea repellent is Neem Oil. Although technically not an essential oil, neem oil is still an excellent natural flea repellent. Use 1 teaspoon of Neem Oil for each cup of shampoo. Use this shampoo once a week to keep your cat flea free.
Another excellent natural flea remedy
Diatomaceous earth (DE) is created with the fossilized remains of algae and fleas hate it. This powder can be irritating for you and your cat if inhaled, so I suggest wearing a mask when using this powder. Also, be careful not to get DE near your cat’s nose. This powder can be rubbed directly on your cats fur once a week. Since your cat licks himself, be sure to purchase only food grade Diatomaceous earth. This powder will actually kill all fleas and larvae on your pet. You can also use this method on your dogs!
An additional way Diatomaceous earth can be used is to rid your dog of internal parasites and prevent them for 30 days! Be sure to use only food grade DE. Mix one tablespoon of the powder in your dog’s food once a month if he weighs over 55 pounds. Use one teaspoon for smaller dogs and puppies. If you are looking to purchase some Diatomaceous earth online for a great price, click here!

If you suffer from Sinus Headaches, you know how painful and irritating they can be. I used to suffer from headaches (most caused by sinus pressure) on a daily basis. I would take all types of over-the-counter pain medications and decongestants and never seemed to feel any better. I even went to the doctor for antibiotics on some occasions. Then, I found information on natural remedies and never looked back.
What causes sinus headaches?
Let’s first take a look at what causes those pesky sinus headaches. The cause of sinus pain is swelling of the lining of the nose and sinuses, which can be caused by allergies, sinusitis, colds and many other factors. If you feel pain around the eyes and forehead, which gets worse every time you bend over, you likely have a sinus headache. These types of headaches can even cause tooth pain. Migraine headaches can also cause many of the same symptoms as a sinus headache. Some of these remedies will also help with migraines, along with lying in a quiet, dark room.
Natural Remedies For Sinus Headaches
Natural Remedies, such as these, have been proven to help with sinus headaches, much more effectively than over-the-counter medication. Many people feel that antibiotics will help with every ailment and take them frequently, and they end up becoming resistant to antibiotics. Before going to your doctor for antibiotics, try these natural remedies. Antibiotics are most times ineffective in treating sinus problems, because less than 2% of sinus headaches are caused by bacteria. Also, you should stay away from over-the-counter decongestant sprays, as these will provide only temporary relief and lead to worse pain in the future.
1) Hot water vapor
Steam can help moisten the sinuses and loosen up mucus in the nose. Standing in the bathroom with a hot shower running will provide some immediate relief. You can even sprinkle a few drops of menthol or eucalyptus oil in the shower. Another method to try is boiling water on the stove and standing over the rising steam.
2) Spice up your diet
Capsaicin is the active ingredient in chile peppers, and is used to treat many types of pain. If you can stomach spicy foods, capsaicin is an excellent natural remedy, and many other spicy foods have been known to help with sinus pain by opening the nasal passages. Try adding some spicy foods, like hot mustard, hot peppers, wasabi, horseradish and curry, to your diet to relieve your sinus pain.
3) Try Bromelain
Bromelain is a protein found in pineapple stems that is used by many to reduce swelling. Professional fighters have been using Bromelain for years. Research shows that it can also reduce swelling in the nasal passages, providing relief for sinus headaches. Bromelain is sold over-the-counter as a supplement. You should consult your doctor first if you are taking other medications, as Bromelain could interact with them.
4) Try hot and cold compresses
Warming the nasal passages with a hot compress can loosen secretions and moisten the nasal passages. Try soaking a washcloth in hot water, then placing over the eyes and nose for 3 minutes. Then, exchange the warm compress for a cold washcloth for 30 seconds. Alternate at least 3 more times. This can be done several times a day if needed.
5) Essential Oils
Earlier I mentioned using eucalyptus or menthol oil in the shower. Along with that method, essential oils can be used in a diffuser in your home to provide relief. Essential Oils are concentrated liquids derived from various plants that have been used for thousands of years as natural healers. Some excellent essential oils to use for congestion are peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil, and thyme oil. There are also many essential oils that are used to treat all types of headaches. The most effective one I’ve tried is Lavender oil. You can also use chamomile oil, cinnamon oil, clove oil, ginger oil, jasmine oil, and patchouli oil. If you are looking to purchase some of these essential oils, simply click any of the oils I have listed to find the best deals.
If you would like to find some relief for your sinus headaches, I definitely recommend using essential oils. If you do not have an essential oil diffuser yet, I suggest you read here about the different types of diffusers and their pros and cons. Also, you can click here to learn more about essential oils and some safety precautions.
6) Meditation and Healing Crystals
The mind has the ability to influence pain perception, and meditation is an excellent method to try to relieve a sinus headache. For some tips on meditating, click here. Also, using healing crystals has been extremely effective for me in providing relief from my sinus headaches. Aventurine is an excellent crystal, because it provides relief from congestion and all types of headaches. Also, if your sinus headaches are caused by allergies, Aquamarine and Shungite are very effective in relieving allergy symptoms.
Try placing these stones on your forehead while lying down and focusing on your breathing. Their unique vibrations will resonate with your body and provide relief for those annoying sinus headaches. Some other crystals that are known for healing headaches that you may want to try are Amber, Dioptase, and Lapis Lazuli. Simply click on any of the crystals I have listed to learn more.
Know when to see the doctor
If your sinus headache is accompanied with a fever, it is a good idea to seek a physician. Also, if you have persistent severe pain that is not helped with any of these methods and lasts more than 24 hours, you may need to see a doctor to be sure it is not something more serious.
Please feel free to leave any questions below. If you have anything to share about sinus headaches and these natural remedies, please leave a comment 🙂 If you know someone that would benefit from these natural remedies, share this article with them! And remember to drink plenty of fluoride-free water for your overall health!
What is COPD?
COPD, or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, is a disease that makes it hard to breathe, and includes symptoms such as coughing, shortness of breath, wheezing, and chest tightness. The leading cause of COPD is cigarette smoke, but COPD can also be caused by long-term exposure to dust, air pollution and chemical fumes. COPD is the third leading cause of death in the United States. This disease progressively gets worse over time. Since there is no cure for COPD, natural remedies are a must to help alleviate the symptoms and slow the progress of the disease.
Natural Remedies for COPD
If you have COPD, or suspect that you may have COPD, you should definitely see a doctor first. Having said that, not only will these natural remedies for COPD improve your condition, they are also excellent methods to use in every day life, COPD sufferer or not.
1) Quit Smoking
If you have COPD and still smoke cigarettes, quitting can be the most important lifestyle change you make. COPD sufferers that smoke lose lung tissue at a much faster rate than non-smokers. I know, saying “quit smoking” doesn’t really have an impact on someone addicted to cigarettes. Cigarettes are more addictive than most illegal drugs, and quitting is easier said than done.
Having support while trying to quit smoking is a must. Another great way to get assistance during this tough time is to try healing crystals. Healing crystals are often overlooked as a natural remedy for all types of ailments. Their vibrations resonate with your body and provide powerful healing. There’s no harm in trying, you will be pleasantly surprised. What does this have to do with quitting smoking? Well, there is a powerful crystal that is known for it’s ability to help people overcome addictions. Amethyst! Try placing this crystal on your navel several times a day to help overcome those urges to smoke. Wearing Amethyst in a necklace has also improved symptoms of lung problems in many people.
2) Herbs and Supplements
There are many over-the-counter natural supplements and herbs you can take to help alleviate your symptoms. Even certain foods have amazing benefits. Always consult your physician before taking any natural supplements.
- Vitamin E has shown to improve lung function in some studies on COPD patients.
- Omega-3 Fatty Acids are essential fats everyone needs. Along with their many health benefits, your body needs these fatty acids to function. They have been known to help with breathing and reducing inflammation, and you can find them as a supplement or in certain foods. Food like cold-water fatty fish, canola oil, walnuts, soybeans and flaxseed contain Omega-3 fatty acids.
- Antioxidants can also help with inflammation. You can find antioxidants in sweet potatoes, kale, turmeric, green tea, red grapes, broccoli and tomatoes.
3) Reduce Stress and Anxiety
Stress and anxiety can exacerbate symptoms of COPD. Reducing stress is easier said than done, but there is growing evidence that meditation and breathing techniques can help reduce stress and anxiety. To read my article on how to meditate effectively, click here! Be sure to take time out each day to meditate or relax to help relieve your stress.
There are also many healing crystals that have been known to reduce levels of stress and anxiety. Two of my favorite stones for reducing anxiety are Howlite and Celestite. Howlite is known as a calming stone and is excellent for decreasing stress and anxiety. Celestite is a high frequency crystal that brings mental calmness. You can also use Lapis Lazuli, Amethyst and Ametrine for anxiety.
4) Essential Oils
Another excellent natural way to relieve some of your symptoms is to use essential oils. Using a diffuser to disperse the fragrances into the air will prove very effective for relieving even the most problematic symptoms. Click this link to check out the reviews for a variety of essential oil diffusers, since you will definitely need one for your essential oils.
I have found that the best essential oil for COPD sufferers is Eucalyptus Oil. Eucalyptus is a common expectorant and will provide much relief by being dispersed into the air of your home. Also, Eucalyptus Oil kills germs and bacteria in the air.
5) Stay Active
Regular exercise is very important to keeping those COPD symptoms in check. It may sound counterproductive when you have a breathing condition, but keeping active actually strengthens your respiratory muscles. Therefore, exercise will improve your breathing, endurance and overall strength. You will also want to avoid going out into the cold as much as possible, because cold air can aggravate your symptoms.

What is Colloidal Silver?
Colloidal Silver is basically a colloid consisting of microscopic silver particles suspended in a liquid. It was used as an antibiotic starting in the early 20th century up until the 1940s. It has, in the past 30 years, made its comeback as people once again started to realize its healing properties. Many doubters have also surfaced to say that it does not provide any health benefits. Luckily, there has been a ton of research into colloidal silver, and there is plenty of evidence to support the claims that it is excellent for your body. Just check out this article by clicking here to see what these researchers, led by a biomedical engineer, have to say about it.
Colloidal silver has been used in wound dressings, Endotracheal tubes, urinary catheters, X-rays, eyedrops and water purification. It can also be taken as a dietary supplement or used topically.
Colloidal Silver Health Benefits
First of all, colloidal silver is 100% safe and non-toxic. When taken as suggested, there are not any known side effects. Unlike pharmaceutical drugs, that have been called “safe” by the FDA, colloidal silver has not caused any deaths.
Can you believe the FDA banned colloidal silver sellers from marketing their products as having any therapeutic and preventive value? Sellers cannot market it as an antibiotic or medicine. Yet, Big Pharma will shove prescription drugs down our throats, causing over 100,000 deaths per year!
I am here to tell you that colloidal silver is a natural antibiotic, immune system booster, antimicrobial, and has cured many ailments. Disease causing organisms cannot survive in the presence of silver. Below is a list of the many health benefits of colloidal silver.
1) Colloidal silver can be ingested to reduce the duration of a cold
2) For intestinal problems, take first thing in the morning, then lie down for 20 minutes
3) Used daily as a dietary supplement, colloidal silver will provide a huge boost to your immune system.
4) Ingest to treat bladder infections and UTIs
5) Colloidal Silver is a powerful antiseptic, disinfectant and germicidal. Therefore, you can use it for many skin conditions like psoriasis, eczema and dandruff. It can also be used on scrapes, cuts and burns!
6) For athlete’s foot, spray on foot and let sit for 5 minutes.
7) Using a few drops a day in your eyes can cure and prevent “pink eye”
8) Ingesting colloidal silver has also been known to help with yeast infections.
9) Using the liquid in a nebulizer will help treat bronchial problems.
10) Colloidal silver ear drops can be used to cure ear infections.
11) Works as an antibiotic and kills only bad bacteria, unlike prescription antibiotics.
12) Colloidal silver has been used successfully to combat MRSA.
13) Can help tremendously with preventing Ebola (and possibly curing it)
Where does one buy colloidal silver?
Luckily, even with the FDA’s “crackdown”, you can find beneficial colloidal silver all over the internet, and even in some health stores. If you click the picture below, you can browse the many products Utopia Silver provides, from small amounts of liquid to gallons of colloidal silver. They even offer some silver gel!
I also like a site called Colloidal Silver 101, because they offer tons of information on colloidal silver, and they even have generators you can buy to make your own colloidal silver! You can click here to check them out.
If you would like to try this stuff out for yourself and discover how beneficial it is, you can click here for an 8 oz. bottle of colloidal silver from Source Naturals.
Also, if you would like to try a 2 oz. spray bottle of colloidal silver, for use on the skin, you can get one here from Heritage Products.
Conclusion: Colloidal Silver is an amazing “cure-all”
With all the amazing benefits of colloidal silver, you can’t afford NOT to have some. I would recommend picking some up as soon as possible, before Big Pharma completely bans it. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below.
Looking for a Natural Remedy for Nausea and Vomiting? Here are 3!
So we all suffer from illnesses from time to time, it just happens. It’s unpleasant, isn’t it? Of course it is, who wants to feel icky? That is why I feel it is best to be prepared ahead of time with a natural remedy for nausea and vomiting specifically.
I chose these two culprits specifically because they are two of the most commonplace and are usually byproducts of some other ailment. Eliminating these two symptoms can dramatically lessen the illness’ impact on your body. Nausea and vomiting are two symptoms that you can feel completely helpless to deal with.
There is good news! Below are 3 natural remedies and ways you can get ahead of the game.
1) Use of Essential Oils.
Here at CrystalsTheirMeanings.com you will see us often stress the use of essential oils. Why? They are one of the most effective methods for naturally dealing with a variety of issues including nausea and vomiting. Face it, those two are unpleasant to think about, let alone talk about!
Take Peppermint and nutmeg for instance. (Get Peppermint Here) (Nutmeg Here) These two will help with both of those symptoms. There are a variety that address one of the symptoms, but rarely both. Some people have a natural adversity to Peppermint so nutmeg is a great alternative.
2) Carrying a combination of Dioptase and Jasper
While experimenting with crystals, I happened upon a great little duo. Dioptase, while not only being a beautiful healing crystal, also works with your body’s natural vibration to assist in keeping your two little adversaries away. The same with Jasper. However combining these two creates a special harmony that helped me tremendously. They are extremely useful if you suffer from morning sickness.
Dioptase can be hard to find. My suggestion is to follow this link to the Dioptase page and click through to look at the selection before deciding. For Jasper follow this link
3) Finally… You have to Bee on the honey! Bad pun but seriously a great way to go.
BUT WAIT THERE’S A CATCH!!
The honey that you buy in your local grocery stores can be filled with GMOs (genetically modified organisms). This is very important to look for when buying honey. My recommendation is to go with raw honey. Guess what the only ingredient is? Yep. Honey. Natural raw honey is getting harder and harder to find as the bees continue their downward trend. Pesticides and their use by large companies like Monsanto, are killing bees by the thousands.
Think about that for a moment. No more bees. No more pollination. No pollination, the food supply dwindles. They are our greatest pollinators. One of the most trusted places I’ve found and where I personally order all of my raw honey is here. Very nice selection of all-natural products.
Although pricier, the benefits of raw honey cannot be overstated. From strengthening the immune system and containing powerful antioxidants, to its promotion of digestive health, to its anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial properties, raw honey is one of the most potent of the natural remedies.
3 proven natural remedies….
that need to be on hand when dealing with nausea and vomiting. Please remember to consult your physician and nothing here is designed to diagnose, treat, or otherwise blah blah blah! Seriously though.
Make sure you read my reviews on the different essential oil diffusers before purchasing one. Some are better than others. You can find those reviews here.

3 Need to know facts: Healing Crystals. Stroke Recovery and You.
1) Don’t be a product of your environment.
It’s true what they say, many people are a product of their environment. What does this mean for healing crystals, stroke recovery and you? Quite a lot actually. Every day we are surrounding ourselves with items that may or may not be conducive to our health. Take stock of not only your living environment, but the places you go as well. Peacefulness and the proper resonances will be key if you are recovering from a stroke.
2) Damage by extension
For those suffering from a stroke, there can be a lot of pain involved which is another reason that your environment should be conducive to your recovery. Nerve damage can be very extensive and if left unchecked could worsen over time. Your body has the amazing ability to heal certain damages but needs to be treated gently during this process.
3) Healing crystals are not replacement therapy for recovering from a stroke.
What they can do however, is accelerate the body’s natural healing processes. While I am required by law to say that “these have not been evaluated by FDA and the products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition.”, I believe that the body’s natural resonances in turn resonate differently with different crystals. It only makes sense.
My recommendations for stroke victims would be as follows and are linked to the best values I’ve found on Amazon:
2) The crystals Garnet and Lapis Lazuli are both widely used for pain.
Please feel free to comment in the section below with your own success stories!
What are essentail oils?
Essential oils are concentrated liquids extracted from various plants. They have been used for thousands of years for spiritual and emotional uplifting, cosmetic purposes and physical healing. Along with healing crystals, essential oils are an excellent and proven way to heal naturally. Click here for more information on essential oils.
How to heal with essential oils.
1)Inhalation – Aromatherapy, also called essential oil therapy, has been progressing for years and is proven to help with mood, spirituality and physical aliments. There are various types of diffusers that can be used to fill your home with the many fragrances of essential oils. The most common are candle diffusers, electric heat diffusers, and cool air nebulizing diffusers (best to use).
2)On the skin – It is very important NOT to apply essential oils directly to the skin until they have been diluted with a carrier oil (such as coconut oil, almond oil, etc). Essential oils are highly concentrated and should always be diluted. There are a few mild essential oils that can used in its concentrated form, like lavender, but can still cause skin reactions. Always check the labels on the bottles. Compresses can also be used for skin issues, joint pain, bruises and body aches. You will want to put 10 drops of oil into 4 oz of hot water, then soak your cloth in the mixture and use on the problem area.
3)In the bath – Essential oils should always be mixed with salts or an emulsifier (milk, sesame oil, etc) before being placed in the bath. Directly placing oils in the bath can cause dermotoxicity. Mild essential oils, like lavender, rose, sandalwood and others, are considered safe to use in the bath. I would definitely not use any spicy oils, such as cinnamon or thyme. When I use mild essential oils in the bath, I mix 5-10 drops of oil with 1/2 to 1 cup of my bath salt or emulsifier.
1)Pregnant and nursing women should ask their doctor before using any essential oils.
2) Do not ingest essential oils (there are some exceptions but most oils are not safe to ingest)
3)Do not apply directly to the skin, always dilute with carrier oil.
4)Keep out of reach of children.
5)Avoid prolonged exposure
6)Avoid synthetic fragrances, use only pure essential oils.
7)Do not use on infants or children without consulting a physician.
8)Avoid contact with eyes
Some essential oils and their uses
Bergamot oil – Use in a diffuser as an antidepressant, relaxant and stimulant. Use in a compress as an antibiotic, analgesic and disinfectant.
Lavender oil – Use in a diffuser for allergies and to calm the mind, body and spirit. Can be used directly on the skin for minor burns and dry skin. Best essential oil for sleep.
Clary Sage oil – Use in a diffuser as an antidepressant, aphrodisiac, anti-anxiety, and relaxant. Can be used directly on the skin as an antibacterial, antiseptic, and for rashes and dry skin. Dilute before using in sensitive areas.
Cinnamon oil – Used in aromatherapy as a sexual stimulant and an excellent air freshener. Also repels mosquitoes. Always dilute before applying to the skin for pain relief. Do not use in sensitive areas.
Eucalyptus oil – Can be used in a diffuser for respiratory problems, including asthma, mental exhaustion, and for killing bacteria and germs in the air. Eucalyptus oil is known for its antiseptic qualities and can be massaged on the skin for muscle and joint pain and to treat skin infections. This oil is also a great natural remedy for head lice. Great to use in the bath to reduce a fever and for its antiseptic and refreshing attributes.
Grapefruit oil – Use in aromatherapy to uplift the mind and the body. Can be used to energize the solar plexus chakra! Dilute before using on the skin.
Lemon oil – Used in aromatherapy to eliminate odors and replenish your mind, body and spirit. Lemon oil is also an excellent cleaner and can be used to remove carpet stains and sanitize surfaces (dilute before use). Can be used on the skin for corns, improved circulation, and to improve oily skin.
Patchouli oil – Some of the many benefits of using this oil in aromatherapy are reducing tension, reducing anxiety, helping with insomnia, and uplifting the mind. Patchouli oil is also an excellent aphrodisiac! It can also repel insects. Dilute before using on the skin for acne, eczema, irritated skin, athlete’s foot and dandruff. Patchouli oil is also used in many anti-aging products.
Rosemary oil – Use in aromatherapy to help with concentration, as an anti-depressant, as an odor eliminator and as a stress reliever. Dilute this oil to help with hair growth! Rosemary is also a great antiseptic and helps with acne and eczema.
Spearmint oil – Used in aromatherapy as a relaxant and decongestant, this oil is perfect for asthma sufferers. Use on the skin as a disinfectant and a great natural way to repel mosquitoes. Has also been used for athlete’s foot and in a compress for headaches.
Where can you buy essential oils?
If you are new to the wonderful world of healing with essential oils, buying a quality diffuser should be your first step. As mentioned before, the 3 main types of diffusers are candle diffusers, electric heat diffusers, and cool air nebulizing diffusers.
My rating: 2 out of 5
Price: varies ($10-20)
Pros: Easy to use, cheap
Cons: not ideal for healing with essential oils, burns oil quickly, does not diffuse oil strong enough for healing.
My rating: 2.5 out of 5
Price: Varies ($22-$50)
Pros: Easy to use, easy to clean, good price, diffuses certain oils very well
Cons: My main problem with an electric heat diffuser is that the heat destroys the elements of some essential oils, making the healing properties nonexistent. Some oils do not diffuse at all.
Cool Air Nebulizing Diffusers
Out of the three types of diffusers, cool air nebulizing diffusers are my favorite. Therefore I have reviewed 3 different brands to provide as much insight as possible.
My rating: 3 out of 5
Pros: great price, lasts about 6 hours before refilling, does not destroy healing properties of essential oils
Cons: cheaply made (some have complained that their device completely quit working after only a few uses), a pain to clean
My rating: 3.5 out of 5
Pros: Uses less oil than some other diffusers, essential oils diffuse without destroying the healing properties, good quality, oils are placed in cups, which keeps them from destroying the mechanisms in the machine, quiet
Cons: Replacement cups are pricey…and you will have to replace the flimsy cups…a lot. Requires cleaning after each use, some complain it is not as quiet as the name suggests, I do not personally think it is very loud
My rating: 4 out of 5
Pros: No heat, preserves natural essence and healing properties of essential oils, easy to use, good quality, diffuses oils nicely, no water, diffuses 100% oil, easy to switch between oils
Cons: some say noisy (think fish tank), can use oils quickly (because you do not mix with water in order to keep the potency of oils), takes some soaking time to clean, older models did not auto shut off when the oil is empty, i believe that now they have timers
