What is the Best Way to Get Rid of Fleas Naturally?

If you have pets, you know how aggravating fleas can be! They drive your pets crazy, they drive you crazy, and they are so hard to get rid of! Tired of using expensive chemicalWhat is the best way to get rid of fleas filled flea remedies that don’t work? I was too. I have two dogs and seven cats, which makes for a LOT of fleas. So what is the best way to get rid of fleas without spending a fortune on harmful chemicals and pills? Let’s first look at why you should NOT use the medicines from stores and vets.

Flea medicine is dangerous

Are you poisoning your pet with toxic flea products? If you are using collars, sprays, Are You Poisoning Your Petsspot-on medicines, dust, pills and other chemical filled products, then yes. The active ingredients in spot-on medicines such as Advantage, Frontline, ProMeris and others include chemicals such as imidacloprid, fipronil, permethrin, methoprene, and pyriproxyfen. These are essentially harmful pesticides that you are putting on your pet’s skin. These and other ingredients have caused many health problems in animals, and sometimes death.

Flea collars, sprays and powders are also toxic to you and your pets. They can cause seizures, trembling, vomiting, diarrhea and respiratory problems. Flea pills for your pets are a fairly new product, and they can be just as poisonous as the other chemical filled products. The popular flea products made by Hartz contain a pesticide called Phenothrin, which has been banned as a lawn pesticide due to its toxicity. Do you think it’s safe to use on your pets? No. All of these flea products mentioned cause hundreds of pet deaths a year, and thousands of injuries and illnesses.

So, what is the best way to get rid of fleas?

Naturally, of course. The best way that I’ve found to get rid of fleas without harming your pets is by using essential oils. If you have used essential oils in your home, you know how beneficial they are. Certain essential oils are also excellent natural flea repellents.

Essential Oils For Fleas

Therapeutic grade essential oils are excellent at repelling fleas, because pests and insects hate the smells of certain oils. There are actually a lot of different oils that are how to get rid of fleas on kittenseffective at repelling fleas, and you may need to try different ones to see what works best for your pets. If your pet spends a lot of time outside, you will need to apply the essential oils more frequently than once a month.

Below I have broken down what’s best for each animal and some recipes you can try. Cats are much more sensitive to essential oils than dogs, and there are many oils that should NOT be used on cats. When you do use the oils I have listed below for cats, be sure to heavily dilute them. Use ONLY therapeutic grade essential oils, and preferably organic too.

Natural Flea Repellent: Dogs

The best essential oil for repelling fleas that I’ve found is Lavender Oil. For some reason, those pests cannot stand the smell of it. Also effective are Eucalyptus Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Lemongrass Oil, Pine Oil, Cedarwood Oil, Peppermint Oil, Lemon Oil, Orange Oil, and Citronella Oil. Native Americans were the first to use Pine as an insect repellent. They would place pine needles in their bedding to repel fleas and lice. Most of the time, these oils need to be diluted before using on your pets or yourself.

Natural Flea Spray for dogs

Take a 14 ounce spray bottle with water and place 15 drops of any of the oils mentioned above into the bottle. You can use just one oil or any combination of those oils you wish. You can also combine one cup of vinegar, one liter of water and 15 drops of oil if you wish. Spray one of these solutions on your dog daily to repel fleas. You can also use these solutions around the house and on your dog’s bedding. Be sure to avoid spraying on your dog’s face.

Natural Essential Oil Flea Collar

There are several ways to make an effective flea collar for your dog. My favorite is the recipe below

  • 1/2 tsp alcohol
  • 1 drop Cedarwood essential oil
  • 1 drop Lavender essential oil
  • 1 drop Citronella essential oil
  • 1 drop Thyme essential oil
  • 4 garlic capsules

Take your dog’s cloth collar and soak it in the mixture. Once it is dry, place on your dog, and the effects should last about a month before you need to soak it again in a new mixture. Another great way to make a flea collar is by just placing a few drops of one of the oils mentioned, or a combination of them, directly onto the collar. If your dog’s skin is sensitive, you may want to dilute the oil with a few teaspoons of water first. You should repeat this method once a week.

Natural Flea Shampoo

First, choose a natural chemical free pet shampoo and add 20 drops of your preferred essential oils. Lavender oil is my favorite, but you can use any of the oils mentioned or a combination of them. While bathing your dog, leave shampoo on for approximately 20 minutes before rinsing. This will kill all the fleas on your dog and help repel fleas for a few days.

How to get rid of fleas on kittens and cats

Most essential oils are toxic to your little kittens and cats, so the list above should be how to get rid of fleas on kittensused on dogs only. However, there are a few essential oils that are safe for your cat, and they are excellent natural flea remedies. When brushing or spraying essential oils onto your cat, the solution should be heavily diluted. Use a ratio 50 drops of water or carrier oil to 1 drop of essential oil. Two completely safe essential oils you can use on your cat to help get rid of fleas are Lavender Oil and Cedarwood Oil.

There are other oils that are considered safe for cats but should be used infrequently. Some cats may have a reaction to these oils, but others handle them just fine. Many people use Citronella Oil on their cats without a problem. Tea Tree Oil and Eucalyptus Oil are not considered safe for cats, but I know of several people that use them regularly on their cats and have no issues. I would not recommend doing this, unless you are ready to rush your cat to the vet if he has a reaction. However if you use only therapeutic grade essential oils and dilute them 50:1, your cat should be fine. Two oils I would never use on my cats are Pine Oil and Peppermint Oil.

The above recipe for the natural flea spray for dogs can be used for cats as well. Just use only lavender oil or cedarwood oil, or both. To make a flea collar for your cat, simply dilute 1 drop of lavender oil (or cedarwood oil) with 50 drops of water and place a few drops of the solution on your cat’s collar. Another excellent safe way to use essential oils is to diffuse them in your home. You and your pets will be able to reap the healing benefits all throughout the day!

Natural Flea Shampoo for Cats

Choose a natural chemical free cat shampoo and add 20 drops of lavender oil or cedarwood oil, or 10 drops of each. Another excellent flea repellent is Neem Oil. Although technically not an essential oil, neem oil is still an excellent natural flea repellent. Use 1 teaspoon of Neem Oil for each cup of shampoo. Use this shampoo once a week to keep your cat flea free.

Another excellent natural flea remedy

Diatomaceous earth (DE) is created with the fossilized remains of algae and fleas hate it. This powder can be irritating for you and your cat if inhaled, so I suggest wearing a mask when using this powder. Also, be careful not to get DE near your cat’s nose. This powder Diatomaceous earthcan be rubbed directly on your cats fur once a week. Since your cat licks himself, be sure to purchase only food grade Diatomaceous earth. This powder will actually kill all fleas and larvae on your pet. You can also use this method on your dogs!

An additional way Diatomaceous earth can be used is to rid your dog of internal parasites and prevent them for 30 days! Be sure to use only food grade DE. Mix one tablespoon of the powder in your dog’s food once a month if he weighs over 55 pounds. Use one teaspoon for smaller dogs and puppies. If you are looking to purchase some Diatomaceous earth online for a great price, click here!

If you suffer from Sinus Headaches, you know how painful and irritating they can be. Inatural remedies for sinus headaches used to suffer from headaches (most caused by sinus pressure) on a daily basis. I would take all types of over-the-counter pain medications and decongestants and never seemed to feel any better. I even went to the doctor for antibiotics on some occasions. Then, I found information on natural remedies and never looked back.

What causes sinus headaches?

Let’s first take a look at what causes those pesky sinus headaches. The cause of sinus pain is swelling of the lining of the nose and sinuses, which can be caused by allergies, sinusitis, colds and many other factors. If you feel pain around the eyes and forehead, which gets worse every time you bend over, you likely have a sinus headache. These types of headaches can even cause tooth pain. Migraine headaches can also cause many of the same symptoms as a sinus headache. Some of these remedies will also help with migraines, along with lying in a quiet, dark room.

Natural Remedies For Sinus Headaches

Natural Remedies, such as these, have been proven to help with sinus headaches, much more effectively than over-the-counter medication. Many people feel that antibiotics will help with every ailment and take them frequently, and they end up becoming resistant to antibiotics. Before going to your doctor for antibiotics, try these natural remedies. Antibiotics are most times ineffective in treating sinus problems, because less than 2% of sinus headaches are caused by bacteria. Also, you should stay away from over-the-counter decongestant sprays, as these will provide only temporary relief and lead to worse pain in the future.

1) Hot water vapor

Steam can help moisten the sinuses and loosen up mucus in the nose. Standing in thewater vapor for sinus headaches bathroom with a hot shower running will provide some immediate relief. You can even sprinkle a few drops of menthol or eucalyptus oil in the shower. Another method to try is boiling water on the stove and standing over the rising steam.

2) Spice up your diet

Capsaicin is the active ingredient in chile peppers, and is used to treat many types of pain. If you can stomach spicy foods, capsaicin is an excellent natural remedy, and many other spicy foods have been known to help with sinus pain by opening the nasal passages. Try adding some spicy foods, like hot mustard, hot peppers, wasabi, horseradish and curry, to your diet to relieve your sinus pain.

3) Try Bromelain

Bromelain is a protein found in pineapple stems that is used by many to reduce swelling. bromelain is derived from pineapple Professional fighters have been using Bromelain for years. Research shows that it can also reduce swelling in the nasal passages, providing relief for sinus headaches. Bromelain is sold over-the-counter as a supplement. You should consult your doctor first if you are taking other medications, as Bromelain could interact with them.

4) Try hot and cold compresses

Warming the nasal passages with a hot compress can loosen secretions and moisten the nasal passages. Try soaking a washcloth in hot water, then placing over the eyes and nose for 3 minutes. Then, exchange the warm compress for a cold washcloth for 30 seconds. Alternate at least 3 more times. This can be done several times a day if needed.

5) Essential Oils

Earlier I mentioned using eucalyptus or menthol oil in the shower. Along with that Eucalyptus Oil for sinus headachesmethod, essential oils can be used in a diffuser in your home to provide relief. Essential Oils are concentrated liquids derived from various plants that have been used for thousands of years as natural healers. Some excellent essential oils to use for congestion are peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil, and thyme oil. There are also many essential oils that are used to treat all types of headaches. The most effective one I’ve tried is Lavender oil. You can also use chamomile oil, cinnamon oil, clove oil, ginger oil, jasmine oil, and patchouli oil. Also,Aventurine for Sinus Headaches using healing crystals has been extremely effective for me in providing relief from my sinus headaches. Aventurine is an excellent crystal, because it provides relief from congestion and all types of headaches. Also, if your sinus headaches are caused by allergies, Aquamarine and Shungite are very effective in relieving allergy symptoms.

Try placing these stones on your forehead while lying down and focusing on your breathing. Their unique vibrations will resonate with your body and provide relief for those annoying sinus headaches. Some other crystals that are known for healing headaches that you may want to try are Amber, Dioptase, and Lapis Lazuli. Simply click on any of the crystals I have listed to learn more.

What is an Essential Oil Diffuser? Why do you need one?

First, what are essential oils?

Essential oils are concentrated liquids extracted from various plants. They have been used for thousands of years for spiritual and emotional uplifting, cosmetic purposes and physical healing. Essential oils are one of the best ways to heal many ailments naturally. The best way to reap the benefits of the large variety of essential oils is to use an essential oil diffuser.Lavender for essential oil - diffusers

What is an Essential Oil Diffuser?

An essential oil diffuser is basically a small device that is used to disperse the wonderful fragrances of essential oils throughout your home. In my opinion, diffusing essential oils is the best way to receive the natural healing benefits of the oils. There are many different types of essential oil diffusers, and it is important to know how each one works. There are candle diffusers, electric heat diffusers, fan diffusers, and nebulizing diffusers, all explained below.

Candle Diffusers

A candle diffuser simply uses a tea light candle to heat up the essential oil placed in a dish above it. They can be found in many different styles and are usually made of metal, porcelain, or ceramic. Essential Oil Candle Diffuser

Candle Diffuser Pros

  • easy to use
  • inexpensive
  • aesthetically pleasing
  • silent
  • no electricity or batteries required

Candle Diffuser Cons

  • burns oil quickly
  • most oils do not diffuse strong enough for healing
  • heat can destroy some elements of your essential oils, making them less effective or ineffective

I personally prefer other types of essential oil diffusers and would not recommend a candle diffuser for healing with your essential oils. If you are left with no other choice, you can find a nice Soapstone Diffuser here.

Electric Heat Diffusers

An electric heat diffuser plugs into an outlet and heats the essential oil to disperse it throughout the room.Electric Aromatherapy Diffuser

Electric Heat Diffuser Pros

  • easy to use, just place oil in and plug it in
  • easy to clean
  • diffuses oils strongly
  • inespensive

Electric Heat Diffuser Cons

  • some have said that certain oils do not diffuse well
  • heat can destroy some elements of your essential oils, making them less effective or ineffective

Using any diffuser that uses heat to diffuse your oils is not the ideal way to use essential oils, therefore I do not recommend heat diffusers. Some will still provide nice fragrances throughout your home, but will likely not provide the healing benefits. If you are unable to purchase a diffuser that does not use heat, I would recommend a Wyndmere diffuser, because it is simple and inexpensive.

Fan Diffusers

You can find many different types and styles of fan diffusers. You simply place your essential oil on a pad or tray and an electric fan disperses the fragrance throughout the room. Spa Scenter Essential Oil Diffuser

Fan Diffuser Pros

  • many varieties to choose from
  • does not use heat
  • certain brands disperse oils throughout a large area
  • can be electric or battery operated

Fan Diffuser Cons

  • some can be noisy
  • most require purchasing replacement pads or other accessories

After a nebulizing diffuser, a fan diffuser would be my second choice for my essential oils. If you decide to go with this option, I would recommend a Spa Scenter Diffuser, which is a fairly quiet model. This diffuser includes 5 reusable pads and disperses oil nicely. Although the pads are reusable, they are a little hard to get clean, and more than likely you will need to purchase replacement pads. If you are interested, you can find one here for a great price!

Nebulizing Diffusers

There are many different types of nebulizing diffusers, and this type is by far my favorite for diffusing my essential oils. Nebulizing Diffusers take the essential oil and break it down into separate molecules before dispersing it into the air. These diffusers use a cold air pump and an atomizer to nebulize the oil into a powerful vapor. Nebulizing diffusers are by far the most therapeutic and powerful way to diffuse your essential oils. The pure oil vapor that dispenses from the diffuser will have many healing benefits. With so many types of nebulizing diffusers out there, I chose 3 brands to review.

Green Air Vapor Diffuser

ProsGreenair Essential Oils Diffuser

  • inexpensive
  • lasts about 6 hours before refilling
  • does not use heat

  • cheaply made
  • a pain to clean (must be cleaned often)
  • does not include separate cup to place oils and water in
  • must use water (not ideal)
  • not meant to be used with citrus essential oils
  • many have had their device stop working shortly after purchasing

Out of the three nebulizing diffusers I review, this would not be one I recommend. The only reason you should choose this device is for the low price. Just be prepared to return it in case it breaks down on you. You can find it here for $26.26.

Whisper Silent Misting Diffuser

This diffuser is technically an ultrasonic vaporizer, so it does not exactly qualify as a nubulizer, but I decided to include it anyway. Ultrasonic diffusers are very similar to nebulizing diffusers, but not quite as powerful.Whisper Essential Oil Diffuser

  • uses less oil than some diffusers
  • good quality
  • uses cups for oils (keeps oil from destroying mechanisms in device)
  • quiet
  • can diffuse even the thickest of oils (which cannot be used in most diffusers)
  • diffuses up to 1,000 square feet

  • uses flimsy cups, which are pricey, and need replacing often
  • must clean after each use
  • must use water (not ideal)

Overall, the Whisper diffuser is a great diffuser and can be found here for $94.89. Just prepare to spend the money buying the replacement cups. I am also not too fond of mixing essential oils with water.

Aroma-Ace Essential Oil Diffuser

ProsAdvanced Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser

  • no heat or water (preserves all healing properties of essential oils)
  • easy to use
  • excellent quality
  • diffuses oils nicely
  • easy to switch between oils (put your bottle directly on the atomizer)
  • comes with empty bottles for mixing oils
  • built in timer

  • some say noisy (think fish tank)
  • can use oils quickly if turned up on high
  • takes some soaking time to clean

After many hours of research into essential oil diffusers (and many trials), I finally found what I believe to be the perfect diffuser. This diffuser disperses 100% pure essential oil and does not use heat or water. No replacement cups or pads to buy and easy to use. This diffuser is by far the best and is the only diffuser I use now. Well worth the investment! If you have been looking for the perfect essential oil diffuser, you can get yours here for only $129.00

I hope I have answered your question “what is an essential oil diffuser?” and provided all that you need to know. Using essential oils is one of the best ways to heal naturally, and in order to do that, a quality diffuser is a must. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to leave them below! Looking for a Natural Remedy for Nausea and Vomiting? Here are 3!

Looking for a Natural Remedy for Nausea and Vomiting? Here are 3!

So we all suffer from illnesses from time to time, it just happens. It’s unpleasant, isn’t it? Of course it is, who wants to feel icky? That is why I feel it is best to be prepared ahead of time with a natural remedy for nausea and vomiting specifically.

I chose these two culprits specifically because they are two of the most commonplace and are usually byproducts of some other ailment. Eliminating these two symptoms can dramatically lessen the illness’ impact on your body. Nausea and vomiting are two symptoms that you can feel completely helpless to deal with.

There is good news! Below are 3 natural remedies and ways you can get ahead of the game.

1) Use of Essential Oils.

Here at you will see us often stress the use of essential oils. Why? They are one of the most effective methods for naturally dealing with a variety of issues including nausea and vomiting. Face it, those two are unpleasant to think about, let alone talk about!

Essential Oils For Healing

Take Peppermint and nutmeg for instance. (Get Peppermint Here) (Nutmeg Here) These two will help with both of those symptoms. There are a variety that address one of the symptoms, but rarely both. Some people have a natural adversity to Peppermint so nutmeg is a great alternative.

2) Carrying a combination of Dioptase and Jasper

While experimenting with crystals, I happened upon a great little duo. Dioptase, while not only being a beautiful healing crystal, also works with your body’s natural vibration to assist in keeping your two little adversaries away. The same with Jasper. However combining these two creates a special harmony that helped me tremendously. They are extremely useful if you suffer from morning sickness.Jasper For Wealth

Dioptase For Healing

Dioptase can be hard to find. My suggestion is to follow this link to the Dioptase page and click through to look at the selection before deciding.  For Jasper follow this link

3) Finally… You have to Bee on the honey! Bad pun but seriously a great way to go.

The honey that you buy in your local grocery stores can be filled with GMOs (genetically modified organisms). This is very important to look for when buying honey. My recommendation is to go with raw honey. Guess what the only ingredient is? Yep. Honey. Natural raw honey is getting harder and harder to find as the bees continue their downward trend. Pesticides and their use by large companies like Monsanto, are killing bees by the thousands.

Raw Natural Honey

Think about that for a moment. No more bees. No more pollination. No pollination, the food supply dwindles. They are our greatest pollinators. One of the most trusted places I’ve found and where I personally order all of my raw honey is here. Very nice selection of all-natural products.

Although pricier, the benefits of raw honey cannot be overstated. From strengthening the immune system and containing powerful antioxidants, to its promotion of digestive health, to its anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial properties, raw honey is one of the most potent of the natural remedies.

3 proven natural remedies….

that need to be on hand when dealing with nausea and vomiting. Please remember to consult your physician and nothing here is designed to diagnose, treat, or otherwise blah blah blah! Seriously though.

Make sure you read my reviews on the different essential oil diffusers before purchasing one. Some are better than others. You can find those reviews here.

Essential Oils, Pregnancy Nausea, 3 Do NOTS Expecting Mothers Need To Know

It truly is a shame that most of us simply end up learning through trial and error.

Essential Oils For Healing

When I was sitting down to type “Essential Oils, Pregnancy Nausea, 3 DO NOTS Expecting Mothers Need To Know”, I felt the baby kick inside my tummy and thought back to the lessons I had learned from my prior pregnancies. Thank goodness for that!

I thought it might be helpful to pass along a few things that I have learned in an effort to keep you from being miserable through the use of essential oils. Nausea, vomiting, and many more “minor” ailments are quite commonplace during pregnancy but can impact the body in a very negative way.

Essential Oils Pregnancy Nausea

That doesn’t mean that we can’t take more control!

Guys that means you too. Understand that as our bodies begin going through the changes of pregnancy, things that ordinarily would not affect us; certain smells, foods, etc, begin to affect us on a level that is hard to fathom. That is why it becomes critically important to minimize the impact through the use of essential oils. Please read my reviews here of several different essential oils diffusers before purchasing. There are some which are above standard but several below.

Essential Oil Candle Diffuser

1) Do NOT use synthetic fragrances!!

Use only pure essential oils!

As with most things in life, all-natural is usually preferred to synthetics. I have heard all my life that “If it ain’t broke….Don’t fix it.” Country? Absolutely, yet so true! Essential oils are experiencing quite the come back in recent years. The reason for this resurgence? People are realizing that often times man-made cures aren’t really cures at all, but instead, they simply add to the condition with more conditions!

2) Do NOT have prolonged exposure to essential oils.

It may sound pretty obvious to some, however one of the most common mistakes that unsuspecting pregnant mothers make is just that. As with most things when expecting, the line between what is healthy for you and the baby, and what is unhealthy becomes even thinner. While essential oils can help with nausea, vomiting, and many other symptoms, over use should be avoided.

3) Do NOT apply essential oils directly to the skin!

Essential oils may come in small packages most of the time, but they come to you highly concentrated. Without the dilution of the essential oil with a carrier oil (coconut oil, almond oil, etc), essential oils can cause skin reactions. This becomes even more essential to remember because you are pregnant.

Essential Oils Pregnancy Nausea

My favorite essential oil for nausea is peppermint oil, which is perfectly safe to use during pregnancy. You can find peppermint oil here. Some oils you should definitely not use, as they can be harmful during pregnancy, are rosemary, basil, jasmine, nutmeg, sage, rose, juniper berry, and clary sage. As always consult your physician.

1)Inhalation – Aromatherapy, also called essential oil therapy, has been progressing for years and is proven to help with mood, spirituality and physical aliments. There are various types of diffusers that can be used to fill your home with the many fragrances of essential oils. The most common are candle diffusers, electric heat diffusers, and cool air nebulizing diffusers (best to use).

2)On the skin – It is very important NOT to apply essential oils directly to the skin until they have been diluted with a carrier oil (such as coconut oil, almond oil, etc). Essential oils are highly concentrated and should always be diluted. There are a few mild essential oils that can used in its concentrated form, like lavender, but can still cause skin reactions. Always check the labels on the bottles. Compresses can also be used for skin issues, joint pain, bruises and body aches. You will want to put 10 drops of oil into 4 oz of hot water, then soak your cloth in the mixture and use on the problem area.

3)In the bath – Essential oils should always be mixed with salts or an emulsifier (milk, sesame oil, etc) before being placed in the bath. Directly placing oils in the bath can cause dermotoxicity. Mild essential oils, like lavender, rose, sandalwood and others, are considered safe to use in the bath. I would definitely not use any spicy oils, such as cinnamon or thyme. When I use mild essential oils in the bath, I mix 5-10 drops of oil with 1/2 to 1 cup of my bath salt or emulsifier.

Essential Oils For Healing

1)Pregnant and nursing women should ask their doctor before using any essential oils.

2) Do not ingest essential oils (there are some exceptions but most oils are not safe to ingest)

3)Do not apply directly to the skin, always dilute with carrier oil.

4)Keep out of reach of children.

5)Avoid prolonged exposure

6)Avoid synthetic fragrances, use only pure essential oils.

7)Do not use on infants or children without consulting a physician.

8)Avoid contact with eyes

If you are new to the wonderful world of healing with essential oils, buying a quality diffuser should be your first step. As mentioned before, the 3 main types of diffusers are candle diffusers, electric heat diffusers, and cool air nebulizing diffusers.

Candle diffusersEssential Oil Candle Diffuser

My rating: 2 out of 5

Price: varies ($10-20)

Best Place to Buy:

Pros: Easy to use, cheap

Cons: not ideal for healing with essential oils, burns oil quickly, does not diffuse oil strong enough for healing.

 Electric Heat DiffusersElectric Aromatherapy Diffuser

My rating: 2.5 out of 5

Price: Varies ($22-$50)

Best Place to Buy:

Pros: Easy to use, easy to clean, good price, diffuses certain oils very well

Cons: My main problem with an electric heat diffuser is that the heat destroys the elements of some essential oils, making the healing properties nonexistent. Some oils do not diffuse at all.

Cool Air Nebulizing Diffusers

Out of the three types of diffusers, cool air nebulizing diffusers are my favorite. Therefore I have reviewed 3 different brands to provide as much insight as possible.

Greenair Vapor DiffuserGreenair Essential Oils Diffuser

My rating: 3 out of 5

Price: $41.49

Best Place to Buy:

Pros: great price, lasts about 6 hours before refilling, does not destroy healing properties of essential oils

Cons: cheaply made (some have complained that their device completely quit working after only a few uses), a pain to clean

Whisper Silent Misting DiffuserWhisper Essential Oil Diffuser

My rating: 3.5 out of 5

Price: $94.49

Best Place to Buy:

Pros: Uses less oil than some other diffusers, essential oils diffuse without destroying the healing properties, good quality, oils are placed in cups, which keeps them from destroying the mechanisms in the machine, quiet

Cons: Replacement cups are pricey…and you will have to replace the flimsy cups…a lot. Requires cleaning after each use, some complain it is not as quiet as the name suggests, I do not personally think it is very loud

Aroma-Ace Essential Oil DiffuserAdvanced Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser

My rating: 4 out of 5

Price: $129.00

Best Place to Buy:

Pros: No heat, preserves natural essence and healing properties of essential oils, easy to use, good quality, diffuses oils nicely, no water, diffuses 100% oil, easy to switch between oils

Cons: some say noisy (think fish tank), can use oils quickly (because you do not mix with water in order to keep the potency of oils), takes some soaking time to clean, older models did not auto shut off when the oil is empty, i believe that now they have timers
